Option B is a Saturn Ion Redline coolant tank that ties into the intercooler system to hold more coolant. you would need:

tank
3/4in heater hose (prolly bout 6ft to be sure)
an NPT fitting to put where the bleeder is on the stock H/E
Various hose clamps and a plastic "T"
1/4in hose (bout 4-5ft) for bleeder

this is usually used when a dual pass/bigger H/E or both are utilized...i cant think of anyone that is just using option b.

in my opinion if u are getting a heat exchanger that is big like say a c/x racing...option b is useless...ur system has enough coolant..

Good luck with installing it. I've seen way too many people argue about how to install it properly.

i just purchased option b for 111.83 shipped from ced... i feel like a ******* after it arrived, i could of got the coolant bottle out of a saturn from the junk yard for 5-15 and the rest i could of got at autozone for less than 20 dollars...

definitely not useless. it makes more efficient and better cooling inside the intake manifold. makes a dual pass setup instead of a single pass (stock) setup.

way to think of it it stock being one path of fluid going through 4 laminova cores. dual pass turns it into 2 paths of fluid being routed to 2 cores each. much more efficient setup.

put a dual pass and option B setup together with a nice heat exchanger and you're good to go

enough
the advantage of the option b is purging the system and having a place for extra coolant to collect.

he knows that he meant adding option b to dual pass instead of running option a with dual pass...

he's not a newb by any means you should of known what he meant... but honest mistake...

its all about getting the air out though

ah... reading>me

even so, you still need a way to purge the system of air, and the extra coolant tank is better than having the stock filler neck

no need to be a dick tho... not good on your part

haha no need to fight...yes i meant not needing a extra tank....dual pass is a nice upgrade. i let the air out from my cx racing h/e

or just open the cap and run the intercooler pump thru hpt
