Opt b install question

In the opt b kit the is a brass fitting that screws into the top of the stock HE. There is a little plastic piece that inserts into the brass fitting and then into the bleeder hose. The plastic piece fits snug into the bleeder hose but fits a little loose inside the brass fitting.

Is it supposed to be like that or should the little plastic piece fit snug inside the brass fitting?

What is the little plastic piece for?

What will happen if I just connect the bleeder hose directly to the brass fitting with no little plastic piece?

lmao. sorry. it doesn't go in the brass piece though you stick it smallest end toward the opt b tank big end towards the brass in the top of the h/e.
if you don't have it in it won't bleed air correctly.

I ordered the .040 oriface from Crate engine depot. it goes inline between the bleeder fitting and the option b tank.

I got the ottp kit but didn't want to mess around witht the little piece of plastic they sent.

So it does not attach to anything? It just sits in the hose?

That's what it looked like to me. if you put it in the brass fitting it would have the potential to actually fall inside the heat exchanger and get caught up in pump.

thx for the info. 1 more question. The little plastic piece in the tube sits close to the brass fitting right? Or closer to the tank?
