Ordered Borla Catback Exhaust
I ordered my Borla Catback Exhaust a few days ago. Should be coming in pretty soon. I am going to have GM put it on & it is supposed to be a whole lot better than the performance exhaust GM has come out with. I am already putting out 220 hp so this should boost my hp significantly. I will post a sound clip when i get it put on.

I ordered my Borla Catback from racingsolution.com. It is the cheapest I have found it so far. It ran like $724 after s/h. It will not void any warranties as long as i don't do anything to the cat. I talked to GM & asked them if there catback or the aftermarket Borla is better and they said that theres puts out a significant gain in hp but is not as much as the aftermarket Borla. Mostly because GM did not spend as much money making theres as Borla did. I don't know what is different about them i am jus tellin ya what they told me. talk to your dealer bout it. Anyways, mine is ordered & on its way. I'll post pics & sound clips of it when i get it.

I would really doub't that the aftermarket Borla is and better than the GM Borla. They both use 2.5" pipe and all Borla mufflers are straight through.
The only difference could be the resonator being longer or bigger for the GM ones, but that would have no effect on performance only sound.

....and , if the Borla aftermarket exhaust is different from the GM exhaust . What the hell warrants a $200 greater price . Both are stainless 2.5 pipe with a borla muffler . I do see the neither of the GM exhaust , sport or touring , come with an exhaust tip . Do they not come with a resonator either ?

lol I have to agree with you there. Any exhaust I get for this car is purely for performance. I don't care if the resonator is the shaped and painted like a rainbow, if it gives good gains and is as quiet as possible, it'll be on my car.

The warrenty issue that if you don't ever go to the dealer for service and you have a problem that could be classified as an aftermarket/mod caused issue the dealer might look the other way cause your a loyal customer.

All I can say is you guys have some very picky dealers in your area. In the Dallas area I have never had a problem with getting anything fixed. Heck my Chevy dealer even inspected my '01 Trans Am (with no cats) and passed it and when it was still in warranty my service advisor at the Pontiac dealer also asked when I was going to cam it and had some long tubes on it. But like I said, I guys our dealers here are mod friendly.
