Wtf?? A muffler shop cannot install an exhaust???!?!?

Maybe they have an issue taking the stock exhaust off and they don't want to cut it or drop the rear end

I would do it myself but my parents moved to Brazil and are renting the house so I don't have the tools. not to mention I don't have the time

i'd say its because they can't remove the stock system without cutting it. also getting at the header bolts is kinda tricky. id say tell 'em to cut thse stock system right before the muffler and that they have to put the new header in through the top

Why do you have to cut the stock system?

Just drop the rear axle... that not too hard....

Cutting it right before the rear axle is also easy.

I can't believe a muffler shop couldnt manage this.

OP, If you lived by me I would install it for ya.

YOu probably have an older system. We have changed mufflers, and change resonators twice. Email me and we can figure it out. The new stuff is too quiet for some people.

It is about a year old i'd say. & if I could make mine "too quiet", that'd be perfect. Email Sent. Thank you.

It does start out too quiet but once it gets burned in it has the PERFECT sound.

Interested to see what this sounds like catless

You should probably start spraying the bolts that bolt the exhaust manifold to the head and the down pipe bolts, from the manifold and too the cat-back, with some break away or pb blaster that way they are easier to tackle when you go to loosen them.

I have the same exact set-up. It took about 2 hours (forgot the o2 sensor extension pigtail at my house) for me to install the header/downpipe and had a shop do the cat-back since I did not have a lift available to me at the time. This was the first time I installed a header on a 4 cyl fwd drive so it isn't to hard.
