Ordered my K&N drop in...

Just ordered my K&N drop in air filter and had a question or two, for those of you that have ran a drop in in the past. Will I see any increase in throtle response and or power, and will just the drop in alone make the sc whine anymore?

I mightdo some sort of airbox mod as well, while im into it. I just dont want to go overboard and start having issues with water getting in ect. Also with just a drop in replacement filter I shouldnt start seeing any MAF issues should I? Provinding I dont oil the crap out of it. I've had many cars with K&N filters in them so I know how, and how not to oil them.

Any advice, give it up. Thanks!

You won't need airbox mod with a drop in, actually you wouldn't even be able to as the bottom supports the filter

you can leave the bottom off u just have to cut a hole in the side of the airbox so u can tighten the clamp down and u might see a tiny bit more power but not much and it will whine louder if u do the full airbox mod u will be fine with ur MAF u might get a cel tho

It's a drop in, it won't have a clamp.

I'm assuming stock filter.

Yeah, you're going to have quite a bit more flow, just don't overdo it with the oil when you clean it.

Also, being a direct fit you get the protection of the stock airbox.
