Ottp Heat exchanger question

Has anyone had any negative affects from a heat exchanger. I was just wondering because i was worried about putting it in front of the existing heat exchanger, oil cooler and radiator. Will it raise the operating temps of the radiator. Also is it better to leave the stock heat exchanger in place and use the new one with it or remove the stock one and only use the new heat exchanger.

I have the OTT h/e by itself with the "hatrickstu mod" and I only see IAT2's around low 130's at the end of 3rd with my 2.8.
