Thumbs up OTTP heat exchanger + Stu mod installed = IAT2s got down by 30 degrees!

Quick post to tell you how happy and excited I am with that combo!!! I used to have IAT2s of 145F when I did pulls from 2nd to 4th gear and now Im getting 110F instead! Mistake in the title this is a 35 degrees drop!!! This is just CRAZY!

Im just GM Stage2 with CTI Race header / downpipe and intake and I can definitivly feel more power in the 3-4th gears!!! Im sure that I get more than 1-1.5 cars on my friend right now (for those who know the story... hes stock with an intake) I'm gonna have to do a rematch against him

So people, cooling mods are important, have those before going down to smaller pulley, it feels like I gained 15 hp!

And Im not sure but I saw somewhere that you gain 1 hp per 2 degreesF of colder air, not sure if that is verified and right?

Im gonna install later next week the GM Dual pass endplate so again, the temps will drop again, I cant see how much more!!! Im now a fan of cooling mods!!

hell yea man awesome.. i dont think that is true about gaining hp...u should just recover lost powered from ineffiecent combustion...not saying colder air doesnt create power but if u were to drop from 145 to say 55 i dont think u would get 45 hp out of it.. u would gain a few..

lol you do NOT gain 1hp to 2 degrees cooler outside, that means if its 120 outside i will dyno 280whp and at 60 degrees outside i will gain 30hp, nope.

Oh allright then But I still feel a gain in power in the third gear when Im doing a pull I dont know if Im dreaming, this can be possible but I'll know when Im gonna do a rematch against my friend. Its like if I realize right now the power I lost when I had high IAT2s before, this feels great!

It's called heat soaking. You will feel an even bigger gain when you get meth, or I should say if you get meth.
