Good merge collectors alone cost 350-400 bucks. This is a quality piece, your paying premium for the best off the shelf product available

he told me earlier that it will be a 3" collector down to roughly 2.5" after the merge back to 3" exit

That's fine as long as it bolts to 3" Hahn inlet

This is sort of a newb question but what's the difference between this header and others. This is obviously more expensive but has more straight tubing for better flow I'm assuming.

the reduction is part of the design of the collector, it's not a restriction in anyway... but yes it will bolt up to the hahn, josh suggested that exhaust today for my situation

Its because it is a true long tube header. It has 31" primaries, which i believe are twice as long as any other on the market.

I mean the difference between a typical aftermarket header and a long tube, what's the difference in means of performance?
