hello fellas!
I just got done installing my ottp stage 1 kit yesterday. The sales guy told me that I would have to take it to GM and get a relearn done on it. So I figured it would throw a code when I got done...and sure enough it did. I let it idle for a few minutes to let it warm up. Everything sounded fine so I began to give it a few small revs(under 3k)...everything sounded good, then I when over 3k and it when into "reduced power mode", it started idling like a boat motor. I turned it off and reset the battery(which I failed to do before). After reseting the battery, I turned my car on and the check engine light was off, gave it some revs, even up to 5k, and everything was fine. That was yesterday, I've been running it every since with no engine light or any funny sounds or what not.
My question is....should I still get the relearn done on it? or does it sound like resetting the battery fixed the problem? Please give me yalls comments on experience with this. Thanks in advance!!!

 

do the relearn to be safe its only a half hour computer time. so like $35ish.

You need to relearn the pcm when doing this mod
