Ottp stage 1 kit.
I live in illinois and im going be buying this kit here in a month or so. I had a couple questions about it. what will removing torque managment do? anyone in illinois that can install it? warranty? thanks and how much whp should i be looking around to have?
Cheers mate, another one from Illinois. Torque management will limit boost in 1st or 2nd gear to help you get traction. I recommend turning this off and just learning what your car likes. Sometimes people have extremely bad wheel hop in 1st because they don't have the proper traction mods, so they limit boost in 1st gear. Otherwise, I keep it at 100% currently. I do live in Illinois and I can install it. This would void your warranty so keep your stock parts. You will probably be looking at 260whp give or take. Grab a full exhaust and that will bump you up to 270.
However I am going to recommend one thing. A custom tune will always be better then a canned tune, if the tuner knows what there doing lol. I highly recommend you purchase a custom tune from me, and grab the 60lbers and 2.8 etc from ottp. Ottp does however have the best "canned" tunes that I have ever seen. If your interested let me know and I will pm you my rates.

Don't buy a ottp stage 1 kit apparently it only adds over 60 whp. Go on ebay the make a performance chip that gets you 50 mpg as well as adds 150hp and it only goes for $5.99. If you can believe that a single mod other then a blower or a turbo can add over 60whp then by the time you read this you'll be going to ebay!

Ottp stage 1 brings you to 260whp. I strongly doubt it. Look at my sig, all the mods I have and my car was fine tuned on a dyno by a tuner who specializes in gm n ford performance cars. way more mods then a ottp stage one and I don't put 260whp. You may put 260bhp but I srongly doubt whp. Stock our cars put 205/200 to the crank not to the wheels to the crank. Your gonna tell me that one simple mod of an ottp stage 1 kit is gonna add over 60 hp to the wheels. I don't think so

You sir, are wrong, on so many levels.

According to OTTP the kit will make 40 hp to the wheels (depending on supporting mods) and they recommend a Heat exchanger with it too!

those are stock ss/sc crank numbers. the ott stage 1 kit will bring you to much higher crank numbers.
wrong. stock cars put 210-215hp to the wheels. i strongly suggest you get retuned. you have a 2.79 pulley and other supporting mods and are making less whp than my GM Stg.3 car. the ott stage 1 will deff. bring you to 255-260whp without supporting mods. with full exhaust i can deff. see it making 265-270whp.

That was from the dyno thread, which has to be verified (as it even says)... They are using the 60s and 2.8 from the OTT stage 1 tune... Im looking for the sheets the actually posted..

The best part about this is you guys can't even agree on how much hp the car comes with while were postin in the 2.0lsj 205hp/200tq tuner version section. Do you guys kno how to read? Jus checkin. By the way don't be offended by anything I say I'm jus playan around.

Share whatever you guys r smokin. First off read the section your postin in 205hp/200tq from the factory that's called base hp that power doesn't actually make it to the wheels. Second if ottp stage 1 brings you up 2 260whp why haven't you done it? Exactly. 3rd my car puts 247whp because I drive like a dick everyday, my car goes to redline each day. I race it all day. I have 65k miles and the hydrolic pressure in my clutch is fucked. My car is tune perfectly fine on a NONE AGGRESSIVE tune because if I went aggressive + the way I drive will mean my motor will pop n that would be bad. Its safe to say I am rite now at 80-90 percent of what I could be doing. Tell you what let's settle this prove me wrong. Show me a dyno test report off a real dyno (mustang dyno) w sumone with a ottp stage 1 n that's it putting 260-270whp. And ill take back what I said n apoligize.
yeah its under the 205hp 200tq section, but that is the gm rating. they were underrated from the factory.

hahahahaha .... well i can see you are a noob, because back in 2005 when everyone first bought these cars they brought them to the dyno. Almost everyone of them put down 210-215whp on avg. stock. go use the search button and type stock ss/sc whp and you will get all the real world data to prove what im saying is true. i havent bought the ottp stage kit, because i like the gm kits hence why iam gm stage 3.

Dyno's are going to read differently everywhere you go.... You could gain 15hp from going one dyno to another, or you can lose 15hp...
You'll learn dyno numbers should only be used when comparing things on your own car... this can only be done by using the same dyno over and over again...

Ok not to b a dick but take that 10-11 hp away and you won't be at 270whp like my man was claimin nor will u be at 260whp eaither so I think I was right on that topic. However I was wrong on other points. So someone expain to me y my hp is so low but yet I'm capable of running mid-low 13s
edit:someone beat me to it haha, with your mods and the meth which should bump up your timing i could easily believe you'd make 270whp on another dyno.

ok then you shouldn't keep arguing with me about the hp being 205 at the crank. since you learn as you go, i'm trying to provide you with some information about the kind of power the ss/sc makes stock. shortstack is right about dynos varying. your 247whp might have been on a low reading dyno or a mustang dyno. what do you trap when you are at the track? that will be the real indicator of the power you are making. you said you run low-mid 13's that should be anywhere from a 106-109 trap speed.
first off i see someone cleared up that these cars are rated at 205 hp at the crank, look in the dyno section of the site and you will see most people are getting 210 hp at the WHEELS stock, gm under rated our cars. your numbers are on a MUSTANG DYNO, which always yield lower numbers, keep your tune and try and do a few dyno pulls on a dynojet, you will see higher numbers.
