overheat maybe?

Unhappy overheat maybe?

while stoped at mc donald auto service mi car coolant temp went to 223 and going up when i found that the car was more than the regular 184 took 1 minute to go to the 223 fans where on coolant level correct. but i notice that when going more than 60 miles temperature is lower than 174. my car is 2006 ss/sc 10.000 something miles no modification only kn filter, thanks in advance.

Thats fine, overheating is 240 and above

that's pretty normal... it will get pretty high sometimes when idling, or when in heavy trafrfic... once you start moving again, it should go down... nothing to worry about... mine sits right around 189-190 usually, but has gotten up to 220 in traffic...

Exactly. When you start moving and having air force through your radiator, it will be more effective at dropping the temperature.

i felt so upset when i got home. i ask my wife if she had done anything to my car, she said the car had worked perfectly. she told me dont jump the river without getting to it.
