P0171, with no intake

So i dont have an intake and im popping a P0171 code. My ST Fuel Trims are anywhere from -27 to +27 ish. I just had the fuel pump replaced and the power steering replaced, both under recalls. I plan on cleaning the MAF tonight, and hope that it is the problem, but anything else i may have looked over?

UPDATED:

ok, so im freaking going crazy. I dropped out the stock intake and the filter today, cleaned the filter up (BTW i live on a dirt road, it was terrible!) and cleaned the MAF sensor (Which looked clean anyway). Still runs like ****.

Ok, so none of these problems occured before i had the car in for service either. It literally started showing up the next day after i filled up on gas. So i think, maybe the gas? It runs smooth until it gets into the boost, if i keep it at about 60% throttle its fine. Well i ruled out the gas today because i just filled up on Shell 93, which i ASSUME to be good gas.

So while in service i had the fuel pump replaced. Would it be possible that they put the wrong one in, if that is even possible. I tried to go to the dealer and they told me that "its not under warrenty, sorry about your luck" but my thoughts are i DIDNT HAVE these problems until they touched my ****.

lolz to them trying to tell me my Aeroforces were programmers and thats the reason. And further lolz to them trying to tell me i have an aftermarket intake and thats why i popped the code...which i have no intake lol.

any ideas?

When was the last time you replaced your air filter? Sounds like you're on the right track with cleaning the MAF.

Those aem dryflows are the best, no messing with oil or anything, and they have independent studies that show the filter filters better the dirtier it gets

I had a AEM intake on my SS/SC ...... make sure you get a hydro shield or else the dryflow filter will soak up water .... mine got wet a couple times driving in the rain. A K&N filter will repel the water to a certain extent because of the oil ... the AEM.... in my experience ....did not.

Almost all filters do that. Restriction and more surface area to grab particples. I've had a K&N on all my cars and if you oil them correctly, they work amazing...

OBD-II Trouble Code: P0171 System Too Lean (Bank 1)

Sounds like it could also be an air leak somewhere after the MAF.

Also, might wanna try taking the intake off and cleaning the throttle body and check the connections there.

Check for holes/ leaks, loose clamps in your intake.
YOu mention everythings fine until your under boost
what about a leaking intake manifold?
When not under boost, leaks extra air in,
and the ECM has to add fuel to compensate
till you get P0171
Then when you hit boost, the air leaks out instead of in.
Not sure, just a few guesses though

Sounds like how my friends car ran when the injectors were clogged with crap.... ran good till it needed to flow alot of fuel then would spit and sputter. How mechanical are you??? I would pull the fuel rail and clean that and the injectors . I would also change the fuel filter if it hasn't been done lately . Why did they change the pump?? Was there sediment in the tank when they pulled it?

Here's what came out of my friends rail and injectors.... this was only a quarter of it .

i dont think that possible, it only goes in one way, plus it has an arrow on the metal section to show the direction of air flow

maf is in right, they replaced the fuel pump module and stuff because there is a recall on the part for a fuel leak. i think it is the fuel regulator. I am mechanically savvy, i just know that it is something that GM incorrectly did to my car because it isnt by coincidence that the car starts running like **** 2 days after service. The car doesnt keep fuel pressure and it has a hard time getting fuel pressure. i have to coax the car to start

Check the fuel filter as well. A clogged filter (which they dont have to change at the dealer for this service) would make it difficult to start the car. It would also produce a whistle like a tea kettle.
