Pacesetter Catback for SS/SC?

What do you guys think about it. Do you think it will hold up well? How do they sound? Is it worth the money. This is a exhaust that is in my Budget so im looking into it.

In your first post you said budget, so what is ur budget? Knowing how much you can spend will help you out a lot when looking for exhaust and anything else in general

2 words.... mild steel...

You don't want an exhaust that could rot out in 2 years... do you?
Go with an SS exhaust.... at least it will last.

Pacesetter is not bad for the "price" if you add a $40 resonator it will sound a lot better. It is make from aluminized steel, which is better than mild steel for rusting.

Don't do it man you will regret it. I've heard one before and it sounds incredibly ricey. To be honest though look into a header and downpipe before an exhaust. Those are by far the biggest restrictions of the stock system. I've got the gmpp on my car and when I did my header and 3" catless dp it really woke the car up

Sorry man it's just my personal belief that you should remove the biggest restrictions in the exhaust first. For the amount of money a header and downpipe costs it is about the same as a decent exhaust... If you compare the 2 there is no comparison which yields greater gains. Now if you're simply going for sound I guess that's another story entirely and not one I really wanna hear about lol

its for sound, future modding, looks, and to add to my mods list because lets just say i dont have to many performance mods, and to be honest i like not having many because it just makes me happy when i blow something away and tell them im stock. my mods are slowly but surely happening and thats all that matters. Right now before car lisle i would like to have
1. My new rims put on.
2. Interior trim
3 Headlights to be painted
4. Yellow fogs.
5. new brake pads. and would love drilled slotted rotors
6 catback exhaust

Just an FYI on the sound... pretty much any catback sounds like ass (rice) on the Cobalts unless you do the full system upgrade. A catback only is incredibly raspy unless you add a decent resonator to muffle the sound a bit.

On a side note if you're blowing people away in your stock balt you need to come and play with the big boys a bit more man

i had the pacesetter on my 2.2 when i had it, for a while. made it through 2 rough new jersey winters. not a single sign of rust at all. it help up better than the stock one, and the stock one was on for a MUCH shorter amount of time.

that's what i did, i put a resonator. i was happy with just the pacesetter by itself, once i added downpipe it was raspy as ****, and very loud. now on my 2.0 i have a magnaflow, and it's so much better. if you don't plan on doing anything else with the exhaust besided the pacesetter, i would say go for it. but, if you plan on doing other things don't waste your money.

its pretty much the cheapest thing you can buy, if you want to be cheap just have a muffler shop do it custom with aluminum pipe

wow, wow... i have the pacesetter, i've had it for a year and the only problem was having the muffler break- but thats cuz i was in a fender bender. i put a new muffler on and it's fine. i've had no problems with the exhaust and i bet you would either. none of these other clowns know anything about the exhaust...
