everything will be let known once hahn releases all there info...

for now the kit is sleeping

gone from show to go car and just waiting.... the reason i sold this kit to crossed over is to have a local car for my shop to build to show hahn and demonstrate that this kit will do everything they say it will.

just didnt make sense keeping it on my cobalt when i sell it this month.

plus i have an 07 Sky with a hahn Kit that is incredible..... time to move on and make some other board members happy.

that is exactly what it is. i hope this setup works well with my app.

im also debating on what mods i should do first with it.. i probably wont have the money to do everything i want to do for spring so i might have to leave a couple things out and do them later..
i know ill need a clutch and axles for sure, as well as a set of leightweight 17 inch rims and a 3' exhaust.
Another thing i was thinking is if im putting a head gasket and head studs id might as well put some forged pistons in there since the head will be off, and then i was thinking of cams and cam gears. then ill have my motor set up nicely for future mods if i want to get closer to 400whp. but if i do all those mods ill be screwed for traction mods cause ill be short on cash. do you guys think its a wise decision to hold out a few months for the rest of the traction mods? or should i forget the pistons, and cams to do this setup?. i just figured since the head is already off itll be much cheaper to throw in pistons etc. now than to pay more on labour later on.

No problem man. I don't mind helping a fellow member out at all even on the down-low as most projects seem to be lately. Just keep the pics and update coming bro.

id say do the axels and clutch first and pistons later, that seems to be the major weak point on the cars. sure you would save some money being your car is taken apart but all that power is useless when you cant get it to mate with the ground. that would deff be my next mod if i had that bad ass kit....clutch, axels, and other supporting traction mods to reinforce the grip

Hey crossed over is hahn saying that kit will work with the stock pistons because i think some member have blown piston #4 with only about 270whp thats around 300 engine hp. So if hahn says it will work with stock pistons i will twincharge otherwise i will run a larger blower swap.

yes i was told that our pistons will work with this setup for sure but its always good to do pistons to be safe. i think 350ish whp is what our pistons can handle so its kinda pushing it. i think the complete kit might have closer to 300-320whp with the hahn kit on our stock motors, but ill have a 3' exhaust and maybe a couple other things thats why im thinking closer to 330-350 whp for me. also head gasket and head studs would be good as safety. remember not all cars are the same, the head gasket might go at 250 hp and same as a piston, youll never know anything is possible. thats why im planning to do those mods i listed to be safe.

You were lied to. @300 HP your pistions will die. Get some maul 8.5:1 pistons. And you'll be set.

yeah it doesnt matter.. either way ill be getting pistons soon, like i said every car is different..you might blow a piston stock and others might blow a piston at 300hp and another at 350. no car is the same thats why im taking the precautions needed to run my car properly.

I agree that traction matters but look at it a different way. What good is all that traction if you blow a piston?

yeah thanks alot for the help man! ill definately keep you posted.

ok this is what im thinking. my mod list will look like this...

vibrant 3" exhaust
stage 2 axles
excedy clutch
lightweight rims with tires
engine mount
transaxle mount
rear trans mount
front tranny mounts
head gasket/head studs
forged pistons
racing cams and cam gears
nitrous express ntercooler system

and im not too sure what else im forgetting but im sure someone will shed light on this and remind me. i wont be able to do all the work at once so i was thinking as far as traction to just do rims and tires with stage 2 axles and then the rest will be the motor till i could save a little more for the rest. out of that list what do you guys think will be the most important and least important and also what else do you think i should add?

i still need to get all the pricing on all these parts.. i just need to buy as much as i can at once so i can possibly strike a deal with someone.

heads?? i thought you wouldnt need to do head work till like 450-500whp?

actually ill have to edit that, from what i researched just briefly you dont even need head work till your even over 500whp..

Valve springs. Supposedly the valves and pistons are the only components preventing the egine from safely running 600 hp. Make sure to get the neutral balance shafts for that much power though.
