ya know, it's rare when something is unexplained, or i can't figure it out on my own. but this one blew my freaking mind.
yesterday, mid 90's in temp out. no biggie.
getting onto a highway. in 3rd gear about 3k rpms. normal right? no problems thus far. roll into the gas. hit about 10 psi. HOLY CRAP audible detonation. i have not heard this since my distributor went nutso on my 280z.
my timing tables are conservative. water injection kicks on at 8 psi, pe table is activated at 120 kpa, which is about 5 psi or so. im trying to figure why. massivly high iat's perhaps? thats what im leaning towards at least.

that im not sure of either. i had just washed the engine, so it's all nice a pretty again. i'll go check it on lunch and see whats going on. it's not running as strong for some reason. so that might be it. the car just rolled over 16k so i don't see why it would do so fast.
