Pistons and rebuild question
Im working on a friends 2007 cobalt ss, 98k and #1 & #4 pistons are cracked. I need to buy just the parts needed to rebuild correctly.
Im assuming the head bolts are TTY and need replaced?
Where should i go for pistons? This needs to be close to stock but reliable.
Are the rod bolts TTY? Wheres a good reliable internet source for internal parts to these cars?
This engine is as foreign as it gets as far as in concerned, Way more crap than on the diesels i work on daily. Is there anything i need to know about this engine before i rebuild it and turn the key?
Thanks alot... Tom

yes head bolts are tty
pistons, get a hold of Tom at CrateEngineDepot.com
rod bolts are tty. again, crate engine depot
get block hot tanked
you will need to get the sleeves honed
you will probably need to get a new timing set for both cams and balance shafts
prime the oil pump before starting
