if this is in the rong spot feel free to move it ( thanks alot) ( sorry i figured the lsj and lnf place would be most of the people who used it so i would put it in there)
ok here go's i have a meth tank but i located it in my trunk.. would it be better to put the pump right by the tank or could i put it up by my front bumper( behind mounted to the inner) ? will the pump work the same way or would it be harder or easier on the pump in amyway? I would like to put the pump under the hood so its out of the way and its by the maf ( for the progressive) so i dont have to run wires from the front to the back over and over to get the controler to work....
main ?'s are :
1.Better to be closer to the tank?
2.Will it hurt it being further away from the tank due to stress or fatigue of the motor( sureflow)?
3.Will it take longer for the pump to start spraying if its further away( i would think not seeing as there should still be methanol in the lines while its sitting running or not.)?
4.I am going to use washer fluid .. so how much HEET do i need to make it a 50 50 mix?
5.Is it worth it doing a 50 50 over a normal 30 70?( or whats everyones preferd mix and why would you use that over the other?)( i dont want to make my own because if i go on a long trip and have fun i dont want to have to try and find a place that sells methanol i would rather just run into a walmart and grab a few bottles of HEET( maby not) and / or just get some washer fluid and be done with it( dont have to worry if i cant get methanol).
6.How do u know the size of ur meth nozzle( mine says something 5 on the top right where the jet/screw in part is .... is that the right spot and if so is it a 5gpm / gph??)
7.How do i know when its time to step up to the bigger/smaller nossle size?*( what happens if i go to big of a nossle¿ do i loose power?)
8.How do u wire in the low level switch?? do u just wire it to a light and when it gets low it just turns the light on??( is there any way to wire this into ur interseptor to make the led's turn on??)
9.If i where to mix my own would i use normal tap watter or would i get distelled watter(whats the diffrence?)?

Um meth is meant for a cooling/power mod. Its perfect for higher temps on say a smaller pulley.
I run a 70/30 mix. Anything below a 50/50 will be more for cooling, which is also good.

well durr but dont u think its going to be dangerous running more than 50 50(once it passes 50 50 is when it becomes conbustable( very)). also would it be bad for the meth to sit in the lines on a hot day( dont u think it might catch on fire?? and if it does u cant tell till ur car is burnt to the ground( alky-burns clear... no flame thats vissable)
PS: also when i said combustable i dont have a clue what kinda flash point methanol has but i just dident think running something flamable( witha flame u cant see) through some rubber line would be super safe if it can posably ignight when ur car is sitting still or maby even if it drips off onto somethin hot on ur car( such as the header or dp or anything elce that gets rilly hot) i figured it would be dangerous.

Your car isnt going to explode because of meth. It can explode if you have too my timing and have knock, or other tuning malfunctions.

let just say gas has a flash point of like 240 ish degrees so once it reaches that point i am pritty sure it would detonate weather u have a spark / flame or not... also fuel line are metal and the fuel tank is an insolated tank that is made for keeping somethin like that safe from combusting... you are going to run a rubber / plastic line under your car( non metal like the fuel lines).
And when i am saying blowing up i mean litteraly not stop running ... i mean catching on fire and flames ( that u cant see because once again meth / alky= burns clear... like 151) and once it reaches the tank i could see a nice boom... Whats the flashpoint for meth anyone know?

It wont take any longer cuz the meth is still in the line, only time it will take longer is when you turn the meth on for the very first time.

its best to start off with 50/50 mix and see how the car reacts with it...of course you have to tune for it. And then once you are comfortable with it change to 75 washer fluid / 25 water.

what size nozzle you use depends on how much boost you are producing...try this link...you have to register but it gives a good idea of what to use. http://www.alcohol-injection.com/for...tor-6-351.html I started with a 3gph nozzle to start the tune and ill be changing to 5gph this weekend.

once again it depends how much boost you are running/how much heat there is. If you are tuned for one nozzle and then change to the other without a tune you are going to go to rich and a risk of damage to the engine. The tune you set is set for a certain amount of meth or washer fluid. Its set for a certain time for it to spray. Meth/Washer fluid richens the mixture. If you set the tune for the a/f to be perfect then change it to a bigger nozzle it will go to rich, if you turn the meth kit off or go to a smaller nozzle, it runs to lean.

Just remember you need to tune for this, otherwise the the kit is useless
thanks alot for the awncers ... i already have a progressive kit so i guess i wont waist my money( got it for 115 bucks so cheaper than i can get a non progressive 1 for lol). but also how do i know what size my nossle is?? it has a 5 etched on top of it but idk if that is 5gmp or just what all of them say. how do i tell what the diffrence is between them?
Also how do i clean the filter and everything out on the kit?? should i just soak it in water or run water through it??( devils own ... right beefore the nossle)

And you prob cant tell what gph it is unless it says it on there for some reason. Just order a new one if your not sure. There only like 10 bucks. What car did the kit you bought come off of?

It is better to mount the pump closer to the tank. I mounted my tank in the trunk beside the spare tire and the pump is outside of the car under the floor on the right side. Nice and clean and works perfect.
With meth if you have the check valve which you should, you will have no problem mounting the pump in the trunk. You are way better off buying a seperate tank if you are looking for power gains as well as cooling. Buy the 1.5 gallon tank from OTTP in which the devils own pump mounts right on the tank. You should run a mix no less than 75/25 but I personally run 90/10 meth/water because I like the power gains(30whp w/proper tune ofc). Tuning is key for meth or its useless. What you should do once you have it installed if you have a wideband air/fuel gauge is take the car for a spin and do some wot pulls in each gear and monitor your air/fuel ratio's and record them. Once you have this information then give it to your tuner so he/she can properly advance your timing ect... And by the way, dont worry about meth being flammable because if installed correctly its no more harmful than fuel so if it scares you then driving in any gas powered vehicle should scare you. Im a catious man and I take my newborn baby in my car with meth 5 feet from her. No worries.
yea ill be picking up a devils own kit from a friend and gonna make it trunk mount. getting tank from ottp and whatever extra i need to put it in the trunk and a new boost activating switch that it needs hopefully it all comes out good
anything is ok if u running the right tune but id recommend 5gph. Keep in mind if you tune for 7gph then whenever you do hit the gas and it sprays, u r going to go through ALOT of meth. But if u hit the gas and say for some reason it doesnt spray (ie. something broke or you ran out of meth)...your tune is going to go lean and something in the engine will go boom. So just make sure everything is good to go. But yes u can run 7gph.
