A Pled To Any and All Vendors...

Everyday it seems something new is coming out everyday that has something to do with a turbo set up..some of us love our supercharged car and there is sooooo much potential with these cars if we could just get a new less restrictive intake manifold...can someone...anyone please please im begging look into this and help us out...

there is also a poll for those willing to spend the 600 or more on a new intake manifold to have ur car run better/stronger with less heat soak.

I can tell you who I wouldn't trust making one, lol.

Besides, you already have a ported one.

For $600 you aren't going to get much action. I understand it is not a cheap endeavor, but the people on here are stingy, the ones looking to stay blower are not looking for huge power, and the 5 of us that actually want to make mid 300's on the blower are not enough to warrant such a project. Just my thoughts.

If it's who I'm thinking of you know they'd probably be one of the first to offer one. Probably expect to pay around $2000.

I was actually talking about someone else, little insider with the SoCal guys, sorry.

I've seen a ported intake mani that was done like the How:To posted by Omega. So far it isn't looking good at all.

thats the whole thing..so much is to be made if we would just get a new intake manifold..i would fork out the money to test it and show people this is what u can do...its no differen than the tvs or a turbo swap...if u can gain say 60hp off of a 2.7 with 60s for say 400 bucks..u do another 600 for a intake mani and gain like 30-40 hp ur talking about 100hp for 1000 bucks..that sounds great to me

Do you seriously think that just an intake manifold will yield 30hp? I highly doubt that. I know the stock design isn't that great, its meant to be economical and package up nice under the hood. But with boost, airflow becomes much less important. The only real way to improve flow should be to add more laminova cores, as each one can only be so big. I wouldn't imagine that this little motor needs more than 4 to provide sufficent airflow.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, this is just my opinion and observations, I assume you all have done more research on the subject, I would love to learn what you came up with. I'm all for flow work as a mod.

Still, thats different on a turbo, and he went to a FMIC over the factory setup. Two completely different things.

this was only on a s/c delete replaced by a intake manifold he already had the fmic on

reguardless when the procharged balt finished since it has the 2.4 manifold it yielded lower idc's which could allowed to run 42lb injectors..

i would say a new intake mani would give at least 20 to 30whp. It would be worth $1000 to me.
