ported exhaust manifold question

Hey guys I am planning on doing some mods to my ss and have searched quite a bit on here and just have a few questions I couldn't find answers to. Currently my car is all stock with an injen intake. I was offered some used parts from a guy through work which are 2.7 pulley, 60# injectors, gm stage2 belt, catless downpipe (can't remember which brand), and a ported stock exhaust manifold.

Now I do not planning on racing the car or anything it is my daily driver and I need it to be dependable and it will see some miles. Right now my plan is to get a 2.9 pulley to run with these parts to stay more conservative and because I read on here the 2.7 over spins the supercharger which I want to last another 60k miles anyways ( car is currently at 100k). I also plan on putting in a zzp h/e and then obviously getting tuned.

I see a lot of guys have interceptor gauges and use them to monitor there air temps but if im not going to ever be running the car hard except for an occasional pull when I wanna get on it and the car is tuned properly is this gauge necessary as I'm trying to stay on a budget?

Also I believe the exhaust manifold came off a car with a ported head as well but I will have to check on that. But if it was ported to match a ported head would it still be beneficial on my stock head or should I not use it?
Any advice will be greatly appreciated!

I have GM stage II, header, exhaust, h/e and I don't have interceptor. It's advised especially if you race but no not necessary.
If your on a budget I wouldn't get it. As far as the ported mani, im no expert but it will be fine with the stock head and yes you might see a little gain in power.

Someone correct me if im wrong

Well interceptors arent necessary but its a nice mod since you can see so much stuff with them. Heck its even reads your DTC for you so for sure well worth the money, but again not necessary. And the ported mani you should be fine running it with your engine gains wont be much but you should see something and yeah for sure get a tune.
Dont be afraid to get mods with the proper tune you can have a great DD and good power, thats what i have with my TC and if i need to get on it its great good luck with everything

Yes I think you should get a interceptor because you can keep an eye on knock retard too. And what if you have air in your cooling system and you don't have a interceptor to monitor your temps? Better safe than sorry if you ask me. And a ported manifold is the same as any other aftermarket header from what I read. But I could be wrong.
