WotBox is nice due to 2step features and the NLS feature. My slips at the track are so consistant due the box.

Ported head helps yes! ... Wot box for the two step is fine and dandy but I my self don't trust retarding timing to the point of having two step. My 2 cents...

its not detonating, its the fuel lighting off with the exhaust valve open. How good it is for your exhaust valves, exhaust ports, manifold and manifold gasket is still questionable.

for the sole fact that 2 steps have been used for many many years with no ill effects your statement is false

detonaton and knock are the same thing

Detonation and knock retard are not the same thing Knock retard is a retardation of the spark timing in order to prevent a knocking condition. Detonation is the ignition of the fuel mixture when it is unintended. Typically we refer to detonation as pre-detonation, which is when the fuel mixture ignites before the intake valve is closed, or even in the intake tract (nitrous backfire anyone?). Though if you werent intending for the fuel charge to ignite when the exhaust valve is open then it would be called detonation, but since we're using a 2 step we are intending to ignite the fuel mixture, just at an unusual time.
