bump does anybody know how much a ported head would help with tvs?

 

Asking for numbers is going to be to hard, To many different setups with conditions that vary from location to location

Its gonna make a good difference. Have not slapped on my stage 2 ported head with all the internals yet but am sure it will make a crazy difference in powerband since i also have the stage 2 turbo cams.

 

I just wanted like a ballpark figure.. I was gonna go turbo but am getting a kick ass deal on a tvs so Im goin that way with ported head..may get cams too depending on tax return haha..

 

DarkmanX gained almost 50whp with a ported head. He was on a full-out TVS setup and the cyl head was the only thing that changed.

 

Thats really impressive I am at least hoping for 30hp.. Now tax season cant come soon enough lol

 

He was already at 320ish whp though. The M62 will crap out before the head becomes that much of a restriction. It will help though, I noticed a major difference before-after with my self-ported head a cams when I built mine. The car definatly does not breathe that well in stock form.

 

Thats why Im getting tvs and ditchin the heaton
