Possible Clutch Problem???

Background:
I have a 07 ss/sc with stage 2, 3' dp with electric cutout, ported sc, intake, ingalls (about to arrive), some other small things. Only 10k on the car.

Problem:
Launching it hard and shifting into 2nd it is taking a couple extra seconds to engage into 2nd. RPMs stay around 5grand and then it finally engages but smells like clutch. And no it is not driving lol...I am completly off the clutch when it struggles to engage..All other gears engage fine.

Sorry for the bad problem description but its easy to see but hard to write about. Anyone else have this problem? and a possible fix?

That would be your clutch slipping. It could be a result of your previous driving habits or it could be that your wheels are spinning and you are shifting into second too soon. I know that sounds dumb but your wheels may spining to fast but your not moving fast enough MPH wise to go into second. I dont know how to explain it or if that is a good way to put it. There is a video on here somewhere of what I am talking about. I will try to find it!

**Edit** I found the vid. This explains perfectly what I was trying to say lol. Thank you An0malous for making the vid.

Just get your clutch rebuilt...I did and I have been beating the **** out of it and cannot make it slip...The stock ones has a problem with the springs in the pressure plate. Under hard driving conditions they wouldn't pull the pressure plate back in place I guess..The mechanic that rebuilt mine, change those springs for better ones and no I have no slip whatsoever. Sorry for thread jacking but Im just trying to help. and yeh sorry for not having the exact name of the parts that need to get replaced in the clutch.

Before I start getting flamed about you get for what u paid and stuff like that, that was my only option at the time. I had been carless for like three months waiting for the bully clutch and could not take it nemore. As a matter of fact I have a bully clutch sitting in my room right now.. haha

you paid $150 for someone to pull the trans out of the car, put new springs in the clutch, and put the trans back in?

ohh hell no, my dad has a trucking company..his mechanic did the transmission work. I just paid 150 dlls to get the clutch rebuilt. This is after the clutch went out and I had been carless for around three months.

I have a question, with all of your mods have you tried to listen with the windows open to see if you're peeling out? With the 3" electric cutout i wouldn't be suprised if you couldn't hear anything but the engine roar. I know you probably already tested this, either way, I'd probably upgrade the clutch if you're planning on putting out high power. I have a stage 3+ spec clutch and it grabs like no tomorrow. It may be a bit expensive, but it does make the car feel more solid and tough (i've had problems with stage 2 specs, but the 3+ hasn't faulted once)
