I just ran a wire through the grommet under the brake pedal to an add-a-fuse in the under hood fuse block, just make sure it's a key on source.

I believe he is saying splice a wire into the boost gauge run the wire down the pillar and through the back of the dash. basically the same thing i was saying except I said the cigarette lighter since it will be a shorter distance.

Run it on a seperate circuit, the cig lighter is the same as the obd II port, and you have no idea how many phonecalls I"ve gotten from people on this site because they couldn't get hp tuners to connect because the fuse blew.

You need to buy a mini add-a fuse (or add a circuit) I'll show you where the grommet is under the brake pedal. Just run it down the a pillar, under the dash (over the pedals) down the back of the firewall, through the grommet, bak up the engine side of the firewall. into the back of the fuse block.

hey black, can you run multiple gauges off of the one fuse? im going to be running 4 gauges, only 3 needing power (interceptor draws power directly from OBDII right?), anyway, im not sure if you can just keep splicing wires onto the same fuse for all 3 gauges.

why the heck would you tap in behind the firewall? There's a perfectly good fuse box in the passenger compartment that can be tapped...

you beat me too it. i've done a few interceptors and about 5 LED lights and both of them are wired into the passenger compartment fuse box. and as for the interceptors not turning on and off correctly. they are very picky as to which fuse connector you use my suggestion is the mini-make a fuse kit works very well.

why did you tap into the sunroof if you use fuse slot 22 its only powered when the car is on. and if you are still having problems, there is a small jumper on the back of the interceptor which if you are running a seperate power source is supposed to be removed. i did 2 running to fuse slot 22 and took out the jumper and they are both having no problems at all. so give that a try and let us know.

Yeah, I did the add a circuit on the sunroof fuse and it works great. on and off with the ignition. If you go off of the lighter circuit, it wont turn off with the ignition I dont think

no it won't lighter is on all the time.
As for under the hood, I was already running wires out there, and figured why the hell not, just goes down the pillar and out behind the brake pedal. But you can also use ones in the passenger compartment too

I was under the impression that u needed to have a power source in order to for it to work. The reason why I taped into the sunroof fuse is thats what everyone else did. That red block on the back of the interceptor is suppose to be removed.. oops.. how come i have never seen anything for that. I think that must be the problem... the jumper. When i get back from Montreal all give that a shot. Thanks.

it takes 2 seconds to take the interceptor out of the pod and take the jumper off and then put the thing back in. and tapping into an already existant fuse is a bad idea as the wiring and the fuse are rated for what is on the fuse line so just getting a 5amp mini fuse and putting it into slot 22 is the best way to do it as to not potentially screw something else up.

Hey guys. I dont know about the balts but the RL has a front and rear cigarette lighter. The front is on all the time and the rear is switched with the ignition. I have my interceptor taped into the fuse box inside the car.
