PSI Question

I did a good run the other night in very cold/dense air. With the 2.5" and a cat-delete I managed to see 21 psi. Before I got the cat-delete, getting to 20/21 wasn't a problem, but now that I got some more flow, I am usually around 18.
My limiter is at 7400 at the moment but I just shift at 7k. My tach seems to lag too much, I bounce off when I try to actually hit 7400 at the track. The shift lights on the interceptor are for **** too.

Having LOWER PSI is alot of the time better then having higher PSI. If the motor breathes better (i.e. better header and better exhaust) you will see lower PSI but the motor will actually be making more HP since it is more efficiently getting rid of the exhuast. Same if you use lower compression pistons, you can actually increase the fuel and air into the combustion chamber with FI to the same ratio and create more power. Just getting more PSI is not always the most efficient or safe way to get more power.
