PSI Question

Should i gain a few PSI from a full exhaust system. or does that have nothing to do with it? Its not going over 15 PSI at about 60 mph into 3rd gear

exhaust has nothing to do with it. I think you need a smaller pulley to make more boost.

Your PSI will drop with a free flowing exhaust.

Why don't you go with a 2.6 or 2.5? You prolly won't make more than 17-18 psi so it won't be as hard on your head gasket.

I have the Intense hub so the snout comes into play. Maybe sometime down the road I may drop down but for now I am happy.

I did a good run the other night in very cold/dense air. With the 2.5" and a cat-delete I managed to see 21 psi. Before I got the cat-delete, getting to 20/21 wasn't a problem, but now that I got some more flow, I am usually around 18.

I have a ZZP 2.6" and all it took was some elbow grease with a metal file and the pulley fit like a glove

My limiter is at 7400 at the moment but I just shift at 7k. My tach seems to lag too much, I bounce off when I try to actually hit 7400 at the track. The shift lights on the interceptor are for **** too.

Whats with the 7400 limiter? If you shift at 7000 why put the limiter up so high? I have my limiter at 7250.

Having LOWER PSI is alot of the time better then having higher PSI. If the motor breathes better (i.e. better header and better exhaust) you will see lower PSI but the motor will actually be making more HP since it is more efficiently getting rid of the exhuast. Same if you use lower compression pistons, you can actually increase the fuel and air into the combustion chamber with FI to the same ratio and create more power. Just getting more PSI is not always the most efficient or safe way to get more power.

My car definatly breaths hella good, but it only makes rediculous power at WOT above 3000 rpm, other wise its a dog. Too much exhaust flow, torque below 2000 rpm is almost non-excistant

That's why a you have to pick and choose where you want it. This comes into play with exhaust sizes, tuning, and other variables. Thus, the reason why I want a 4-2-1 header design.
