anything under the GM Stage 2 pulley (3.01) is unsafe. I've seen a guy hit 115% duty on his 42lb injectors with a 2.9". The injectors and tune are simply not made for a smaller pulley. If you want the boost, get the supporting mods (60lb injectors and custom tune).

And I thought the gm stage 2 pulley was ~3.1"?
77.9 MM = 3.067"
And about the duty cycle of the 2.9, maybe it happend once or so that the duty cycle where over with the 2.9, but generaly speaking they are safe. 2.85 is pushing it, and 2.8 IMO is not safe. But hey I like to keep things 99% safe. Run the 2.9 and dont worry about it, or just get a 2.95, or 3.0 if you arent comfortable with 2.9
well if you guys want I can post some screen shots from HPT running a 2.9" pulley.
Anything over 85% duty is unsafe!! If I go to the track and want to make 10 runs in the hot summer weather, I want to be damn sure my injectors aren't gonna crap out and blow my engine.
Basically if your going to run more boost, you need to get supporting injectors and a proper tune, man it's only like $400.
