Pulley question

Ok...so tax refund money is coming in and I want to put a smaller pulley on the cobalt. I have a few questions I hope you guys can answer for me since I've seen a lot of people post about their experience with such pulleys. I was thinking of running a 2.9" pulley and get one step colder plugs. I will have stock injectors and my only other mod is an Injen CAI. My question is will I have any problems/issues running this pulley with stock injectors? I don't want to get a wideband A/F or scan gauge just yet because I won't be tuning, but I don't want to be running too lean either. Also will I have issues with the belt slipping with a stock tensioner?

Secondly, I was looking at Intense-Racing and South Florida Pulley Headquarters for a 2.9" pulley/hub package. Both websites have the kit for about the same price. Anyone have any recommendations?

Any advice here would be much appreciated guys. I wanna order these parts soon so I can put them on this weekend. Thanks.

You will be fine with a 2.9 pulley, just dont go any lower, Also i would take a look at billetflow they make some great pulleys.

I would go with billet flow. And why not just get GM stage 1 or two then go with a smaller pulley? You'll be safer that way.

no way I'm going through GM for that stuff. Way too expensive and I don't trust their stuff. Probably going with the Intense kit if I go that far.

anything below a 3.0" pulley, u will need a new belt tensioner. im not sure how much belt slip u will have with a 2.9" on the stock one, but u def. should get a new one
