pulley selection dilema

ive searched and searched but im still having problems making up my mind. ill start off by stating i have a cobra H/E Bwoody traction bars, AEM wideband, XTC intake, magnaflow 3 inch exhaust and a nitrous. i am keeping the nitrous, its part of my persona i guess, i have the nickname around my area of nitrous don. but id like to pulley my car now. i dont want to machine my snout if i dont need too. plus with the 2.5 it just generates too much heat. i was thinking a 2.6 or 2.7 pulley, but i seen some of the hubs requires snout machining with anything under a 2.8. i will be getting tuned. on a side note my nitrous currently raises the boost level by 3 PSI i know if i eclipse the 20psi mark i have to do a cometic headgasket and ARP head studs (not a big deal for me) im also looking to break 320 whp on nitrous or more...

the GM stage 2 you have to take to a dealership and they load a GM tune into your car, with mine, my friend dustin and i are buying HP tuners so he can tune his silverado SS and my cobalt.

I wouldn't do the 2.6" until you have a full exhaust (header and downpipe), some sort of cooling other than the H/E, and the headgasket and studs changed. Just my opinion. I think the 2.8 would work well though with the setup you currently have.

anything below a 2.8 you want to have cooling mods to keep temps down . even with my 2.8 i was going yo get the dual pass setup

I ran a 2.7" for a long time without cooling mods and it worked fine.

im buying a pacesetter header off of a member here, so thats the last of the exhaust mods, what other cooling mods are there beside a diff heat exchanger? i know theres the dual pass, but i was under the impression the cobra H/E would be enough. plus the nitrous cools the incomming air, but it also raises the combustion chamber temp. i think im going to go with a 2.7, if i want smaller or bigger ill just order a differant pulley but to nherbst454, if your going to keep posting that you will make and sell pulleys to people id contact an admin about becomming a vendor. i own a message board and i hate people that come in and try and make money on someone elses dollar!

well.. i said screw it and ordered a ZZP 2.7 pully setup, 60lb injectors/harness, belt and bigger tensioner pully. cant wait to get it here and on the car!

Best of luck with everything! To answer your question about other cooling mods, there is the H/E, dual pass, and water/meth, thats all that I can think of right now.
