Pulley swap

So i was looking up the how to and there were only 2 that i could find but do you really have to take the supercharger completley out to install these? I am gonna have one of the techs at work help me he has a puller. Or is there an easier way then what the write ups say?

do u have the stock press on pulley..if you do you will need to remove the supercharger its not that hard though..4 bolts and 2 sensors and the belt i think thats it off the top of my head...if not just push the idler pulley down to remove the belt and take off the 4 bolts and put the pulley on and your good...

then yes, you do have to take the supercharger off. its actually alot easier than you think it would be. when i had my cobalt i took off my blower in >10minutes. then once i had done it already, i cut my time down to >5minutes. i assure you, its easy. get some tape, and number every connection that you remove, then it will all go back together smoothly.

You know I had to take the damn thing off to change out my STG 2 Pulley. GM used so much LOCKTITE that I bent a nubby craftsman screwdriver. I ended up heating the bolts up with a torch (after I dremeled a straight line across them to fit a straight blade screwdriver) and used another nubby to get them off. Thank god I bought more bolts from nate to replace the existing ones. Moral of the story...Never used red locktite all the way up and down the bolt...lol
