Hey guys, just got a 2.9 for my car and I am having a hard time getting my GM stage 2 pulley off. The blue bolts are NOT the problem. The pulley itself seems locked on there even when the bolts are removed. I tried tapping it off with a mallet but it doesn't budge. I don't have a puller available to be right now so i was wondering if anyone knows any other tricks to get it off.

woiuldn't adding heat to expand it also bring the possiblity of warping the snout?

 

Hit harder? Try a metal hammer

 

I don't advise using anything but a puller don't use a metal hammer. Autozone rent a puller takes 5 mins.

 

Im not saying go to town on it. It should slip right off since its only held by the screws.

 

I ended up getting it off by spraying some PB blaster where the pulley sits on the hub and it finally gave with a mallet.

 

I was just about to say pb blaster it and wait a day
