Pulleys

I tried to search but did not come up with anything regarding what I was looking for. Far as pulleys go i see so many brands; Intense, ZZP, Pulley Boys, which one do people prefer ie which is the better brand, to me they all look the same just curious.

Intense's looks cheap by the color it comes with. Looks like cheap plastic, it's metal though.

Pulley Boys is just brushed aluminium it looks really nice it's what i have. And the other one's I havn't seen so I don't know.

With pully boys do you need: Set of 4 each, socket cap screws.

I would get them just in case. For the $3.00 it's worth it. I would try to use the blue screws that came with GM stage 2 to keep the look.

I'm going with a 3" or 2.9" INTENSE modular pulley system, tensioner, and colder plugs. Thats just until I get GM Stage I, then Im dropping down to a 2.7".

I chose INTENSE because I don't live far from them, and drive out past them on the way to pick up my G/F from school. Also, even by doing it the way I am, I will still have less money into my total goal with a 2.7", GM Stage I, and the mods. listed above than guys are paying for GM Stage 2, and the PB pulley. (Total cost INSTALLED, and with GM Stage 1 flash and installed, should be about $715 with every mod. I just listed.)

i had a pulleyboys press-on and a zzp mps on my riv. liked both of them, but if you might change pulleys, go with a modular system. its not good to keep taking off the pulleys

What did you pay to have Stage 2 installed though? Or at least for the re-flash? I was referring to having Stage 1 purchased, and have a dealer do the re-flash. (I'll install the injectors, big whoop). Also in that price of $715 I'll have INTENSE'S modular system, and their 2.9" and 2.7" pulleys, and the tensioner so I can go down. I guess its just my half-ass way of doing GM Stage 2, haha

IMO...by and far the best pully out there in looks and quality are the BilletFlow.

They only use the best...nobody out there can compare in material quality.
* Proper V-groove geometry (for proper belt fit)
* Ultra Grip style grooves (for less slip)
* Sand Blasted Contact Surface (for less slip)
* Anodized for Corrosion Protection
* Engraved (for GREAT LOOKS)
* Hub made from 4150 prehardened Steel (not cheap mild steel)
* Pulley ring made from 6061-T6 Billet Aluminum
* Stainless Steel hardware

and the best part is the life time warrenty on all the parts.

i think it was like 40 or 50 for the reflash i don remember exactly. I did it for the warrantly thinking i would happy with that and i am but the power increase is like a drug just want more and more. lol so now I am looking at the pulley systems etc..... plus with already having the tool it would not be hard to put the gm pulley back on if need be

Like I said, its my way of half-assing a GM Stage 2 kit. Our cost will essentially be about equal, or a few dollars difference...
