Question
I have been wanting a turbo for a while because they have more power than my supercharged cobalt. My husband told me to wait that he has an idea for me to gain some hp. He told me to buy the ZZp stage 3 kit and have it tuned. I know the zzp stage 3 will give me atleast 265 hp or somewhere around that number, but how much more hp would a tune give me?
The only mods I have is GMPP touring exhaust, injen cold air intake, Hurst short shifter, and Ingalls torque damper.

ok...I'm still trying to think what would be the best for the money. Of course I know you get what you pay for. I'm still kind of leaning toward turbo because those stock are pretty nasty.

you wont break 300 hp with a ZZP S3 kit on an LSJ. Even with E85 you might be around 280 whp. A tune on an LSJ isnt the same as a Tune on an LNF. You cant control boost on a supercharger with a tune, thats all done by pulley swapping

no problem
if you were to buy a ZZP Turbo kit you would be around 300-400 whp depending on how its tuned because then you could control boost from the turbocharger. Not to mention turbo's are a lot more efficient than superchargers but you wont get the same response of a turbo like you do a supercharger.

275 is on the way high side
your husband needs to read more
300 is possible on e and a hell of a tune and such and yes you can control the boost on a sc car with hpt
a lot of this depends on how deep your wallet is you can make 300 on a m62 but its going to take e85 or race fuel and a dam good tuner or you can bolt a tvs on it and get over 300 easily but you need to have a good header and 2.5 exh minimum
