Question

My dad bought my ss/sc a little over a year ago, i just recently took over the payments and bought it from him, i drove it every once in a while, now heres the big question, my dad has been putting 87 in the car since he bought it, it now has 16000 miles on it, how fucked is my car/or how fucked will it be if i put 91 in it

did he beat on it, or drive it like an old man?

The car should have automatically detected the variance in octane and retarded() the timing accordingly... i think everything should be ok... but i would deff be putting 91 or 93 in it if i was you..

he beat on it somewhat, but no sensors went off or anything, definitely going to be putting some higher octane petrol in it!

i have to spread it around, i guess i rep'd you recently..

so now that you have your problem solved....

where abouts in OH is Jeromesville? we are having a HUGE meet in columbus in october: https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/mid-east-58/vote-date-ohio-meet-72350/

Plus if your close to dayton/cincy there are a few local "gatherings" between now & then...

always a plus, i had a buddy that worked at a GMC dealership... it was sad to see the dealer price vs. the MSRP on parts, talk about markup geez...
