Question about FMIC

A buddy of mine wants to give me his old fmic, for when he was going to go boost. He has a tc. Now how do the fmic for the cobalt work? Is it just a regualr heat exchanger? Will this fmic work? What are the standard sizes for the cobalt fmics?

An FMIC is an intercooler which cools the charge air, not a heat exchanger which will lower the coolant temps.

Look on ebay for a cobra heat exchanger. You can probably get some decent deals.

a lot of heat exchangers are called intercoolers as well, but they will be called liquid to air intercoolers, opposed to air to air intercoolers, which is what most people refer to when they say intercooler

One other question! Cooler IAT2's does that equal any boost increases? Im not saying like 5 pounds increase but like a **** .5-1 pounds increase?
