Arrow Question about HP Tuner

I was hoping for a clarification about this tool. Now i understand that you can use it to tune your car with a laptop and such. But would you be able to get the flash for say intense stg 4 from Intense themselves and just use the HP Tuner to upload it to your ecu, instead of having your ecu sent out or getting one from Intense and then having to go through the CASE learn and stuff? I ask because if you could do it that way would be great as i cannot have down time except on weekends. (btw i did search but didnt find what i was looking for or maybe i didnt look hard enough lol)

Im considering theBinary File to let the person see who is tuning my car to compare to his opinion. i think it will pay off for him to know whats actually in my computer

For the extra $150 you get:

1. Enhanced I/O connections that enable you to connect analog sensors (such as wideband O2) to log alongside your engine data.

2. Black Box datalogging. The ability to record logs from your vehicle without having the laptop connected. Records up to 32 logs and a little over an hour of data depending on what you're logging. Stored logs can be uploaded from the cable to your PC/laptop for viewing at any time. Ideal for drag strip use or circuit racing.

Interesting yes, but how would I do it, why would I do it? dont I already get fuel/air ratio records with just the base set up? that is the major point of doing a tune when I get injectors or/and a pulley.

Can I upgrade later if I want? if so how much?

The stock O2 sensors are only accurate for measuring 14.7:1 AFR, they are useless for tuning fuel at WOT eg. 12.0:1 AFR . The only way to tune fuel properly is by using a wideband O2 sensor such as the DynoJet, LM1, LC1 etc.

With regards to the blackbox datalogging, many racetracks now either ban or highly dislike people doing passes with a laptop on the seat beside them.

To upgrade later from the MPVI Std to the MPVI Pro is $289.

Cheers,

Chris...
