Question about NGK BRK7E Gapping

I know this may be a useless thread but I have my Stage 2 and I just bought these spark plugs.. I was wondering if they are gapped properly before I install them. If not i have to go buy a spark plug gauge to gap them. I know they are suppose to be .035 or somethin. Quick responses are appreciated

I answered my own question. At SFPH website they say that they are gapped to .035 for max performance

Stock gap is .45 and keep it at that gap for best performance with Stage 1 and 3.1 - 2.7 pulley sizes.

Correct A smaller gap will be safer and help prevent "missing" but this car has a pretty strong spark from 4 individual coils so the closer to stock gap the stronger the spark and the more power you will make. Some others played with smaller gaps and once they regapped back to .45 the power was back. Try it yourself, gap your plugs at .30 - .35 and drive for a bit and then yank em out and regap to .45 I guarantee you will feel the difference.

You can get them at crappy tire or Part source. I got them at an auto parts place through work and they cost me $8 for all four. If you have probs getting the plugs let me know

does any1 kno if the car would still run good with the NGK Double Platinum PFR6T-10G or the IX iridium BKR6EIX .. I mean all Im doing for now is the CAI Stage 2 2.8 pulley, exhaust, headers and maby cams.. but may too more upgrades later.. but I was just wandering how those plugs would do or if one is better than the other

Plugs are gapped at .45 If you go to the Iridiums make sure to go ONE range colder. Why pay more for Iridiums when copper plugs are so cheap?

Same here. When i installed my NGK's i gapped them up to 0.040 and the car runs great. I think a gap anywhere between 0.035 and 0.045 is gonna be fine in these cars as long as you aren't getting knock. I have yet to see knock with my plugs and setup.

I'm gettin' Silver

I'm going to order my Nology Silver Plugs tonight or in the morning. I just recently purchased the NOLOGY coil-on-plug HOTWIRES conversion for my 2.2L. The Nology plugs use a silver conducor without a resistor to transfer the maximum spark energy.

So fellas did I just waste my money buying the NGK Iridium IX BKR7Eix instead of the BKR7E Copper? I have GMPP Stage 2. What gap for each one of these? It seems like .045 is the consensus but resellers are claiming .035 fot the copper. I see nothing for the Iridium as a guideline. What gap for those with the stage 2, and which plug is better?
