Question about Pacesetter Monza cat-back
I was looking around for exhausts for my 06 S/C, and I came across a relatively inexpensive cat-back system. The pacesetter Monza. About $273 bucks.
There's a video on youtube with this exhaust on an LS and it sounds awesome!
What kinds of hp gains will I get if I got this and I'd like to hear others thoughts on this system.
Only mod I have is an Injen SP CAI.

I had it... i loved it..
It can be "raspy" so its best to have a resonator welded in at a muffler shop. Also, the joints come with pipe clamps... You should have these joints welded as well. Cost me 65 dollars to have done at a shop, resonator included. No reason to buy the 70 dollar resonators.
10 or so hp, a little tq... but it helps with flow... which allows for better power when you start upgrading other stuff.

Better off to do what i said, and have the muffler shop put on in...
The stock exhaust has one, but it isnt very nice.
It is basically something that quiets down the exhaust, but not quite a muffler, per say

Dude i hate to be a dick or anything, but dont get it. My buddy had one and all the welds were cracking and it slowly started to sound like ****. He just bought the magnaflow 2.5in catback, and it pretty awesome.
What welds?
If you are referring to the welds on the cat back itself, there arent any. The joints must be welded by the customer.
I had no problems at all. The muffler gave **** once, but with a picture and a receipt, they sent me a new one free of charge.
Their header is actually one of the better headers around. Few of the top running guys use it.

The welds from the manufacturor or the welds from the shop? Either way the should should fix it free of charge, or the company should warranty it. Unless it's been on it a while. I had a dual flowmaster conversion on my Cavalier, and after a couple years the welds for the hangers started to crack and open. The same exhaust shop charged me $20 to fix them.
