Question question about this pulley

I've got stage 2
if i buy this pulley is all i gotta do is remove the 4 screws on the one thats currently there and screw on the new one? no need for any other special equipment or nothing?

It's basically like you said, but you'll probably need a pulley puller or a machine press to remove the stage 2 pulley

ya i've heard mixed thinking about that... what would u say the lowest i could go WITHOUT a tune, don't really got the money for that right now, just bored and need some carcitement if u know what im sayin

I really wouldnt go any lower in size without a tune.Your adding more air volume with the smaller pulley and not telling the ECU to match it with fuel.Im sure theres a specific size you can go down to and get away with it but I wouldnt.Thats just me though.

oh ya? why's that, im a total noob when it comes to pulleys and superchargers and all that...

I know the stock pulleys are pressed on, just thought the GM and aftermarket pulley/hubs were tight enough on the supercharger snout that you need some sort of tool to remove them. I might be wrong though

But as stated above, definitely wait until you can get tuned as well. With a drop down in pulley size, any small gains in power will be negated by the extra knock,heat generated and extra power robbed from spinning the pulley faster. Thats just my opinion.

ok, maybe its the hub ur thinking of? i dunno just looks like the screws are holding it in place to me :P

If you have the pressed on GMS2 pulley then youll need a pulley puller.If GM was smart and put the GMS2 hub on with the pulley(4 screws) then your good,no extra tools.
