Question on CAI
Question on CAI
Just wondering if putting a cold air intake on my stock ss/sc will make a difference. I have read all over these threads and its seems like some people say yes and some no. Also if CAI is better than the stock intake what make seems to be the best? Anyones help would be greatly appreciated.
Yes, it will give you an increase in perfomacne. Some say Injen is the best and has no fitment issues (the new ones dont have any as 99% of the customers that recenty received theirs stated it has an awesome fit)
K&N use to throw a Check Engine Light, but fit well. Fujita has the worst fitment and is the most expensive. AEM is the cheapest and replaces the least amount of the stock air system, but has not been known to throw a CEL.
Many choices. Personal preference i guess. If anyone would like a 2.0 AEM polished we have a brand new one we are offering for only 159.99 shipped! (PM OR EMAIL ME)

I think you might have worded that backwards? Seems alot of people are

ppl argue that the stock intake is already pretty good and that you do not benefit from a CAI.
my personal opinion is that an aftermarket intake/filter will help any car.
a lot of the ppl are doing the airbox mod and claiming the same results without spending the money and showing off the bling..... i'd just rather have a backed product in my car and not a chopped up piece. then again, im not stingy on spending $$

Im torn between the Injen and K&N. I like K&N products and would trust them with my car but I dont want a cel. I also like Injen but The fitment issues scare me.
How many people with stage 2 and K&N have a cel?
Im deciding in the next few days, ive got the money just don't know which one to buy.

only issue i have had with my fujita is where the ecu is.... made a nice little gouge in the tube, put some weather seal stuff tape on the ecu, the real thick rubber stuff, and it is fine now...
