Need peoples opinions.....for better gains what do you guys think are better a down pipe with high flow cat or dp with no cat......Thanks guys

 

I say go catlesss and live with the check engine code. My stock cat went out and was replaced under warranty. I put on a used CA 3" w/cat and the cat went out on it. Just took the downpipe off today to knock out the cat as my exhaust was rattleing. Found out the cat was completely gone and the ratteling was the pieces in the back half of the exhaust.

 

DON'T go catless. The most you're going to gain going catless is 2hp and its gonna be loud and rapy as hell.

if the cel stays on for awhile, is that bad? just wondering cause i'm going catless and i'm worried that it's going to **** **** up. as long as i get it tuned eventually i'll be good, correct?

someone please. i want to buy my h/dp today but don't wanna go catless if it's going to **** **** up without a tune.

 

use the ark cel eliminator or 2 spark plug anti foulers and you won't get a CEL, i have a RT downpipe and my cel came on with it until i put some antifoulers on it.

 

but will it **** anything up if the light just stays on? or is just the annoyance of it being on?

 

just an annoyance, the rear o2 sensor doesn't control anything.

 

it wont **** anything up, but if you dont have an interceptor or a scan guage then you cant check to see if thats the only thing wrong, maybe as soon as you put your dp on the CEL will come on then the next day the 4th cyl will be about to go and you will just think that the CEL is from the DP. i have a ZZP DP with a highflow cat and i got a CEL from it but i use the interceptor guage to constantly check and make sure that, that is my only code being thown.

ps, dont go catless, its soo loud and raspy sounding, you will most likely regret it.

is the XTC a good dp ......or whers a good place to get a dp that isnt overly expensive besides cobalt addiction

go catless..its not worth the chance of the cat clogging or going bad or ext.

 

The exhaust depot catless downpipe has a big resonator... I have one on and it is not raspy at all.
