sounds like you're not matching your revs when shifting into second....

do u have traction on the top of first? w/o traction at the top of first b4 u shift, ur shift to second u will bog,ur engine is running fast, but ur wheels arent moving fast enough, so ur second gear start will be slow, and sou nd like ur clutch slips .... like reving but like ur not moving

its not exactly rev matching, as much as making sure you dont just drop your foot off the clutch when shifting into second fast. it just takes some practice

The best tip would be to think about what you're doing as you're doing it. Don't freak out.

well if u r trying to launch at the track i have tried absolutely every rpm range possible except 6 lol...if ur trying to race someone dont hold your rev's at all keep it at 0 i find i have the best reaction time and best launch at this level....i broke my best time at the track from 14.69 to a 14.50 just by launching at 0 instead 2....the shifting problem i sumtimes get its more of a bog/lag combo just keep rpm's high to keep them higher in second and you wont see that big of a problem then.

i try to launch at 1,500 rpm and feather it out a little. usually hooks right up. (with good track prep)

on the street its way easier
