If you have a different year let me know and i can give you the part numbers for your year. Tell them to read the instructions next time.

oh and ask them for a print out of your complete callibration history so that you can see for yourself if they put it in or not.

http://tis2web.service.gm.com/tis2web or you can use this site to check your callibration yourself.

1. put in vin and click get cal id.......
2. click on pcm and next.
3.last click complete history. this will give you all your callibrations.

yeah what should they be for a 2005 ss/sc?

my paper only list one for the 2005, it says calibration data file part # 12607644. im not sure what it would be under for the 2005 but that number needs to be in the pcm callibration history somewhere.

maby someone with a s2 2005 can chime in.

ther isn't one close like that but there are two new ones on the engine history and engine diagnostic that say "New calibration with diagnostic enhancements for DTC P0171 and P0507" maybe those are the fuel injetors?

Why do you want to eliminate the torque management? First gear is useless to begin with.

^^ Because with removed TM and limited boost in first gear these cars are much more enjoyable or so I hear.

1000.00 isnt too bad. I paid 850.00 for mine but my bro and I have frenz at our chevy dealer. I know its usually between 900.00-1200.00 depends on dealership. Make sure it runs to 7000rpm as soon as you leave there, otherwise turn around and go right back! I actually had the same flash issue as previously discussed. p.s. Make certain they give you ALL of your parts when done, including the small specialty tool for removing the pulley bolts. And do yourself a favor get a 2.79 pulley immediately! the stage 2 gm tune is extremely rich and works PERFECT with the 2.79 pulley!

ok cool. So what are the problems you were experiencing? The RPM's wouldn't hit 7,000? So what do they do exactly when they do a stage 2? What parts do they put in your car?

you get 42# injectors, a 3.07 pulley w/ pretty blue bolts, new belt, and and a piece of paper for the generic reflash from GM, oh yea and a tool to remove the pulley.

I was tachin out at 6500, but a quick reflash fixed it. Sometimes the flash doesnt take for whatever reason? Most of the time it does ( 95%). Trust me, get the gm stage 2, and a 2.79 pulley it is AWESOME. The stage 2 is a really good hp bump, and the 2.79 pulley is another very noticeable bump. Also a header makes a really nice diffrence. I have a shiney hiney header, gm stage 2 w/ 2.79 pulley, aem dryflow, 1 step colder plugs (*** NECESSARY with the 2.79 pulley swap!) and an ingalls torque dampener. some other odds and ends but that is the meat and potatoes of it. This is safe, effective, and proven way to add good daily driver hp with NO, NONE, NOTHING for problems. I dont know it all but I do know a little, my brother is FNFAST with the stage3 and No2.

haha FTP!!!! haha that funny dude that sounds good. So the factory installs the stage 2 with a 3.07pulley? So alli have to tell them is that i want a 2.79? Then everything will still be under warantee? Yeah i just got my car a week ago, and love it! So im not getting the extended warantee through the dealer, but do you think everyone will honor the warantee if i get the stage 2? What intake should i get for this upgrade also?

FTP!!!!

Ok Stage 2 is by GMPP (GM performance parts) so it is under warrenty if you use their pulley. However when you start to use other pulleys that warrenty goes to hell. However on the 2.79 pulley, I have heard its bad to run anything under 2.8 with 42lb injectors and you need 60 because your injectors get way over worked otherwise.

Yes the stg 2 from gm is warrantied. No dont ask for a 2.79 pulley! you gotta order that from cobalt addiction or someone else and put it on yourself! IT only takes 10-15mins and IF you had a problem you can put the stock stg 2 pulley back on. YOUR STOCK stg2 injectors ( 42lbs) are 100% fine! they dont run static! That is B.S! Ive ran my car exactly how I am telling you for six months and beat the hell out of it everytime i get in it! NO PROBLEMS! Ive checked the plugs and the IDC and all is well!!! just ask me as you go and I will help you anyway i can!!!! No guessing at all, just fact or i wont suggest anything at all. If i dont know I will say "I'm not sure!"
Yes the 42lb injectors are ok with a 2.79! NO NO NO you cant run any smaller on the 42lb injectors! but 42lb injectors are 100% fine with a gm stg2 and a 2.79 pulley.

Oh yeah i went to the dealer, and they want to charge me $825 for just parts! I heard it should only cost around for something for parts..... All i have to say is FTP!!!!

If you are going to run 2.79 with the stage 2 I would at least get an aeroforce guage so when the AFR goes above 12:1 maybe you will put the stage 2 pulley back on before you blow the motor. For all the people who say they run 2.8 or smaller pulleys safely... you better show me some logs that show it is safe cuz all the logs I have ever seen for 2.8 with the stage 2 tune show it is NOT safe.

NGK are very good. Thats what i use. Just tell me when you need them and i will get you the part # for the NGKs and tell you how to gap them. Basically One step colder will help you from any predetonating of the cylinders before top dead center. THE plugs and the OCTANE of the fuel is where I believe the diffrent info is coming from. ALWAYS run at least 93 octane period! ecspecially if you are running a 2.79 with stage 2, and the other part of this little mod job are the colder plugs. Again, my car, in my climate and altitude, with my setup runs perfect. I KNOW KNOW KNOW this! PERIOD! Who you trust is up to you. I KNOW I AM RIGHT!!!

To be safe, the smallest pulley size I would go is a 2.9. If you are in a higher altitude you can run a smaller pulley due to the thinner air, but the only way to truly be safe when going to a smaller pulley is to have the AFR checked to make sure you aren't running lean above 6K RPMs.
