Option B does not offer any performance gain. It more or less is just a way to help the car bleed the air out of the intercooler system that gets trapped when you drain the coolant from the system to install the dual pass plate.
You can do it without option B, it's just harder to bleed air from the system.
I'd do a flow through box before I'd spend the money on Option B.
