Questions for those that have gone turbo
yeah meth would be a definat upgrade with the tvs if ur talking about iat's being high. also u can invest in an icebox and drop ice before your run starts... before u get to the top of the stage lane.
I guess you really don't have any idea of what can be extracted from the car with this blower on it. It doesn't even cost much. In any case, I wish you luck with your branching off into the turbo realm eventually. I have family in the harrisburg area that I haven't seen in a while. I'll look you up once your build is done, and we'll see if you were successful meeting your goals, and if it was worth it.
Where the hell do you have it spraying at then, what jet size, and what is your mix? Just not seeing how it wouldn't keep the TVS cool and allow you to crank up the timing if it's setup right.

I just don't get it.... my M62 is supposed to make higher IAT's than the TVS since I run a 2.6. My scans going from 2.6/m62 up to 80mm/tvs show a drop in temps at cruise and idle w/ no other changes than the blower.
So what is the root cause of Rodimus' problem? I'm not convinced it's the blower itself. Even now, w/o meth, w/o dual pass, only secondary garret h/e+intercooler reservoir upgrade+distilled h2o, I have not the same problems as you do Rodimus.
Just confused to the cause

Well what possibly isnt set up right? Enlighten me.
The methanol helps but its never been more than a band aid, in fact I actually made more hp with it off than on even with the knock on a dyno pull
im running a 315ml nozzle

I take i t a 315ml jet equates to the M3 jet in a Devil's Own kit. With that said, you need to kick it up a notch to the M5 or 500ml jet, have it spray into the intake before the TB (if you don't already), and set it come in around 8psi. Meth is not a band aid if used right and I have a ton of experience tuning it and using it during the summer. I'm sure it gets a lot hotter and humind down in South Carolina than it does in PA, and after back to back pulls on the interstate I can place my hand on the blower without fear of it burning. That is on the 2.6" on the M62, and it usually has a nice sweat on it like a water bottle does after it comes out of the refrigerator. I tuned a 2.7 pullied M62 before I left on a pretty warm day and got 25* timing with just windshield washer fluid instead of real meth. IAT2's never got above 132* after back to back 3rd gear pulls during the tuning.
You do not get power from adding meth, you get power by using it to tune your car in better. More specifically adding timing and killing knock. Keep the air fuel around 11.6-11.8 and get that timing up around 21-25* where it is needed and you will see a nice jump with your setup while diminishing heat soak between pulls down to nothing.

You take it wrong, 315ml is a m5 or m6. I was using a 550cc nozzle, thats rated for 400-600hp or M8.7.
I'm already running 21-25 degrees with no knock with an AFR of 11.6-11.8. Heatsoak is there regardless of timing or AFR

2k5, the humidity is much worse up north than you think. More than likely that's what he's dealing with. If you were to come down here, you'd notice a difference. Everytime I go home to new york city, my car feels a bit more sluggish up there. but just in the summertime. I've got family in south carolina that I go to visit on a regular basis, and the car wakes up when I'm down there. Humidity makes a difference.

If you do decide Hahn is the route you want to go, I wish you the best of luck. There is no denying that turbocharging is the easier route to make power. Hell my Integra is proof of that and I love what it has to offer with just its tiny EVO III 16g.
