quick CAI question

really easy question i think....

is there any real difference between a 2.75 inch that has a 3 inch maf section and and full 3 inch cold air intake?

if there is, would it be enough difference for me to spend 200 on an extra .25 inch?

I would say no unless you're doing heavy mods but I'm sure someone will disagree.

well right now i have ottp stage 2 which is the 2.8 pulley 60 pound injectors, one step colder plugs, zzp shorty exhaust, 3" to 2.5" downpipe and a magnaflow catback, and the 2.75 CAI. plus cooling mods, tranny and engine mounts.

People are going to argue this all day long. Some people say there is no difference.
I had the Injen on and put on the zzp3 and i could feel a difference on how the car pulled up top. If you just swap it on and dont get tuned its not going to make a difference at all.

Friend had airbox mod on and had afr tuned for 11.7, when he swapped to the injen his afr dropped to and 11.3, so if you dont tune for it and just slap it on its wont make a difference imo, but once tuned enjoy.

I made the swap and was happy i did. To bad i only had the zzp on for 3k miles and now turbo swapping it.

If your interested i got a zzp in mint condition for sale.

You already have mods so I would just go with the 3". After all you want the car to breath the best it can.
