quick question
When my SS was my XBFs, it had a short ram. In order to do this, he had to re-locate the stock coolant over-flow reservoir, to the opposite side of the engine bay. This allowed space for the SRI to sit. He also had to adjust the MAF in HPT, in order for her to run smooth/properly with the new location of the MAF sensor.
Since I have bought the car I got rid of the SRI as soon as possible..
It had reasonable IATs while driving, but expect heat soak while idling.
IMO the only bonus to the SRI on the LSJ, is the blower wine. She screamed like a banchee, no doubt about that. ALOT quieter with my custom CAI now, but still, IMO the already heat proned engine, taking in as cold of air as possible, is most important.

Yeah, short ram won't work unless you can tune the MAF and remove the driver's side head light and put the short ram through the hole. Putting the short ram closed in the engine bay is going to pointless.
