quick question!
ive been looking around at catbacks magnaflow, gmpp ect.
anyway these all run prices of 400+ bucks some over 600 close to 700 everyone knows this...
my question, how does custom pipeing work for the ss/sc? 2.5 inch with say a magnaflow muffler? anyone try this? how much the cost? a little cheaper?

alot of people do that.. as long as the exhaust shop is reputable, you should have no problems.
i got my custom 2.5" magnaflow done for $120. not including the cost of the muffler.
to answer your question: much cheaper. and also much better than GMPP.. because the GMPP exhaust systems are 2.25". i dont know if a custom one would be quite as good as a 2.5" from a vendor, but seriously, do you really care about a 1 hp difference?

, thats what they are there for , just make sure its not crush bent , crush bent is restricted at the bends so a 2.5 inch exhaust is a 2.0

but with my ZZP 2.9", and AEM CAI my exhaust was getting a bit restrictive. so i went to the exhaust shop and had them make me 1... the difference is noticeable, but my cobalt isn't stock, so i can't say wether or not you would notice a difference on an otherwise stock ss s/c
i think a 3" exhaust may be overkill. we're talking about an ss s/c, not an STI.

yeah 3" is deff a overkill. Even the gmpp 2.25 isnt that bad if your only going minor for modds. I was quoted crazy prices for custom exhasut aswell, depends where you go I guess... GMPP touring for me!
