Well I may not have much room to talk since I only have experience with one name brand, but Injen seems to have their stuff figured out. When I first got my CAI in the mail (delivered super quick thanks to TTR), I could tell it was well made. The parts felt sturdy and of great quality for the price I paid. I was especially pleased when I saw that the makers allowed me to choose between CAI and Ram Air. The CAI requires slightly more time to install, but it has benefits. The ram air set up seems to produce more tone and "throatyness" under load than the CAI. It lakes the cooler IATs but eliminates risk of hydrolocking the engine.

Anyhow, to end the ramble, I will tell you that I would happily buy more Injen products in the future and I have had zero problems with my product. Best of luck to you and I hope this helped.

They are all good and serve the same purpose. Injen/K&N/AEM (even a box mode). The "bigger" brands are of better quality. Just don't get the eBay intake. You won't see any major difference between intakes unless you get a 3" one.

Yea sadly I bought one off ebay and it was built backwards or wasnt for a cobalt but i made it work lol. But thats why i asked im replacing that. I bought my Cobalt ss 05 used and the person that owned it before me cut alot of the plastic off the bottom of the car and the wheel well on the driver side so i havent really drove my car in the rain. I found one that is like a front mount intake that has a rain graud so i might get that one. Trying to avoid hydrolock lol. *edit* Thanks for all the advice it did help alot!!
