Depends how old the gasket is. When I had the ZZP downpipe the gasket they supplied was crappy, and fell apart from the heat which ended up causing a leak. The stock GM gasket is much better. So OP, if your gasket looks to be in good shape you should have no problem using it again.

Def. buy a new GM gasket if you are going to change the gasket.

I saw on another thread that the 2.2 engine has the same gasket and was available at auto stores. Is this true?

I'm not sure on that one. I tried to get gaskets for my downpipe at Autozone & other parts stores, but no one had any. I just went to the dealer and got a new one. It was like $8 I think. You will need a new gasket (def) for the 2-bolt downpipe to catback connection flange. That is the gasket where both of my aftermarket downpipes leaked from. I would suggest a Remflex gasket for that.

Depends on how many miles is on your car, I reused mine and it is not leaking but mine was done at about 1500 miles though. For how easy it is to take it off just reuse your old one and see what happens.
