Race gas with static injectors??

never really thought of it... can anyone shed some light?

Ok, we all know (for the most part) that a stage 2 with a 2.9" is fine for the 42lb injectors.

i know all cars are different, but all cars work the same.

If i were to run a 2.7 or 2.8" pulley with the mods in my signature with the 42lbers on the gm tune, and i put in some race gas... can i do a FEW WOT runs? just want to make sure, because im thinking it will still run static of course.

Thoughts?

The problem is that while the injectors are static the ECU has 0 control over fuel distribution. Sure, it may prevent bad detonation, but it still wouldn't be safe.

Well I know I have the Stage 3 ECU that adjusts the timing for 100 octane . I think the injectors will go static if you don't have the right tune for it man . I would just stick with the 94 octane .
'
Unless you wan t them to go boom . Then just get the 60's

I actually got 30.7 mpg on the higway with 100octane . On the way to the track to blow out my axles.

a lot of guys are going the whole route of 60's with a tune and smaller pulley . But watch out I've heard way to many horror stories of cars going boom.

Get a wideband and you wouldn't have to ask and have other people guessing as to whether it will work or not. Actual data > internet opinion.
