Raffle tickets for TVS

So heres my idea, love it or hate it...

We should try to get a vendor who sells the TVS to sell raffle tickets for a TVS. $50/ticket and sell like 40 tickets. The vendor could sell like a couple more if they really wanted to profit out of it. Anyways I'm a gambler and I would definitely be down for throwing $50 it to try to win a TVS....

Any vendors up to the challenge?

Is this legal?

It's leagl. No one would wastefully spend there money. Now if tickets were like $2-$5, you could get people to buy.

Hell, I'd enter for $5. It's only $5.

Oh cmon $50 and your odds would be much better.

Maybe a vendor would do $10. Would need to sell around 200 or more tickets though. Still not too bad since I would buy 5 myself.

i don't think they would have a problem selling $10 tickets. $50 tickets wouldn't happen though

Yes, but a vendor should be able to do it? What is the difference for them? Either way they are getting the money and they are selling a TVS. An honest vendor on here isn't going to screw anyone or rig it.

Well I honestly think this could be done if a vendor pursued it. They should have a poll to see how much to charge for tickets.

We have thought about it before. As far as I know though it is illegal, it's considered gambling and you need a license for it.

What about raffle tickets at school events. Or would it be classified under something else since it is usually for a fundraiser
